Energy Assistance Program (EAP)
The Energy Assistance Program assists low-income households with their winter heating. EAP serves an average of 1800 households every program year. To be eligible the family much first meet the federal poverty level of 125% or below. The benefit amount received by a family is determined on family size, income and usage history.
Services are available to households on a first come, first served basis. Please call the beginning of November to be placed on a waiting list. Appointments will start in December. Your name must be on the waiting list to be called for an appointment.
Our service area for the EAP program is Parker, Brownstown, White Swan, Harrah, Toppenish, Buena, Zillah, Granger, Outlook, Sunnyside, Mabton and Grandview. Please contact us at (509) 865-7630
Documentation Needed
- Social Security Cards, Birth Certificates, or Drivers License for all members in the household.
- Residential Verification.
- Income for the previous 3 months for everyone 18 years or older (earned and unearned income).
- Current heating bill and 12 month history.
